| Mitch Belew Nashville, TN, United States 2015-09-29 13:11:12 Secret/Mystery Shopper Scam 1 | +1 Secret Shopper This scam used spoofed LinkedIn accounts of some of my contacts to try to validate that they have used this Secret Shopper service to make money. I sent them my name, address, and phone number and they sent me a letter along with a check for $2,960.00 instructing me to keep $400 and send the remainder to an address via Money Gram from a local Warlmart for the purpose of evaluating the Walmart service. I have a copy of the LinkedIn message that appeared to be from one of my contacts, the check and the letter. |

I had gotten same scam email. If it has an email address of "Consultant.com" or Accountant.com" or Attorney.com" it is a mail service used by scammers. They can create any domain they want to to attempt to scam. The check is a fake, and you will be on the hook to your bank if you cash it.
Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell.
And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can.
So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we
hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
