Yesterday, a lady with a clear Indian accent contacted me for a job opportunity. I was waiting for another call and so I said I shall call her later. After 2 hours, I tried dialling the number which was ringing for quite sometime and someone picked up the call but didn't speak. I tried again but with similar response.

Today, a man named Arindam Dev contacted me with exciting job opportunities and asked me what I am looking for. I said I have mixed technical and management skills and wanted to know more about the client requirements. He said about the business analyst program. I told him I have project management skills but not in the level of business analyst. He immediately responded that he have several openings in SAS, business analysis, project management etc.

Anyone looking for a job in the UK will know how genuine recruitment agencies work and the consultants put themselves and their clients to jobseekers. The person who spoke to me agreed to almost everything I asked for - Salary, Relocation preference etc which was really fishy. This is when I decided to have a background check on this so called recruitment agency. He said about the training and the money(£700) without any contract or bond. The money will be refunded with my first month salary once I join their client. I asked him to send me the job description which he immediately sent.

I checked Arindam Dev's LinkedIn profiles - I found two - one with UK address(https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=368252309&authType=NAME_SEARCH&authToken=swHe&locale=en_US&srchid=392723091430221198212&srchindex=1&srchtotal=2&trk=vsrp_people_res_name&trkInfo=VSRPsearchId%3A392723091) and one with US Address ( https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=286669421&authType=NAME_SEARCH&authToken=32yJ&locale=en_US&srchid=392723091430221198212&srchindex=2&srchtotal=2&trk=vsrp_people_res_name&trkInfo=VSRPsearchId%3A392723091430221198212%2CVSRPtargetId%3A286669421%2CVSRPcmpt%3Aprimary%2CVSRPnm%3Atrue)

Both IDs had Wireclass in the experience for 3 years and 11 months but the designation was different. I also found about the scam from Glassdoor (http://www.glassdoor.co.uk/Reviews/Wireclass-Reviews-E827533.htm), Scamwarners(https://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&p=247104) and Scamdex. Thanks for all the others who posted here. I wanted to help others as well so that they don't fall prey to these scammers.

Oh,yes I almost forgot - Please check the email attached below - how the designation changed to Project Management Business Analyst :)
