I\'m in the process of selling my automobile on Craigslist. I posted a listing on Sunday, within the day I got an e-mail from Steve Gash, stevegash143101@Gmail.com. His e-mail reads as followed:

Just viewed your listing and will like to purchase it .please what is the condition and more detail of it.

I responded suspciously in adressing his questions, arranging a viewing of the automobile and building an awareness of a potential buyer. Again he responded, however, by reading his e-mail there were some inconsistencies. The second e-mail reads as followed:

Thanks for your mail,I will not be coming to view it because of myJob,i am an oceanist and i am buying this for my Dad. i accept youroffer and i will be happy to accept my offer.I can only pay throughpaypal at the moment as i don\'t have access to my bank accountonline, but i have it attached to my paypal account, and this is why iinsisted on using paypal to pay,all i will need is your paypal emailaddress to make the payments, and if you don\'t have a paypal accountyet, its pretty easy to set one up at www.paypal.com i will beexpecting your email. my mover will come for arrange to pick up afterpayment clear .Thanks and nice doing business with you...i hope we canmake the purchase as fast as possible? 1:Are you the first owner of it?2:Why are you selling it?3:And does it has any dent on it or anything?4:Does it has any fault affecting it?5:When have you been using it? -- Just viewed your list and will like to purchase and please what is thecondition and kindly send me more details about it with your finalprice.

In addition, the second e-mail was sent from stevegash143101, similar to other posting on scamdex.com. I immediately performed a search, leading me to this indispensable website. Be cautious about this scam, in fact, it may have triggered a ripple effect: I got another email from different sender after the second e-mail, where I am questioning its legitimacy.

Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
