I put my car for sale on boostcruising.com.au
Shortly after 'Luke brown' contacted me saying he worked on an 'offshore rig' as a marine biologist, he wanted my car for his holiday, wanted my PayPal details and I couldn't call him as he has poor service due to weather for phone calls on the oil rig.
Two things made me suspicious.
1. Oil rigs have phones readily available for use during all kinds of weather. I know this because my father has worked on oil rigs for most of my life.
2. He had no concern whatsoever for the state of the car or roadworthy/rego
So I googled his email address and this website came up. Thankyou, you've saved me a great deal of wasted time and a potential loss of money.

I am trying to sell my car on gum tree and received the same type of deal from the same email. What a moron, he was posing as a 'marine biologist' who couldn't make calls because if worked at an offshore rig!
Wanted to pay via Paypal and add $950 on top of asking price for his 'agent' in the UK which I had to arrange something for. I received a fake looking Paypal email saying the funds had been deposited but due to the funds I had to provide further details.
Checking my account there was nothing happening in Paypal so I report the email to their spoof team.
Moronic loosers like this make online services crap - I've been flooded with texts requesting responses by emails only.
Maybe I'll stick with old school and hang up flyer on notice board in supermarkets and newspapers instead.
