The scammer is trying to convince the potential victim with clever words to click on the firstgolden@telkomsa.net address and place an order for toner through them as the main toner supplier is out of toner. The scammer is probably the owner of the firstgolden@telkomsa.net account. The scammer most likely likely phones up companies and ask them what printers they have and then send them these customized mails to match the printer/s the victim told them they have: Scam Mail below: From: Samantha Vanwyk Sent: Tuesday, June 15, 2021 12:48 PM To: xxxxx Subject: [EXTERNAL] Xerox Toner Good Afternoon We at Xerox/Bytes have ran out on the Xerox C8035 toners and due to COVID-19 we have been notified that our next shipment has been delayed and will only arrive next year in 2022. First Golden is one of our accredited suppliers who still have these toners in stock, please send your order directly to them. Management has authorized you to order and purchase the following toner. 6x Toner Xerox C8035 @R4559.00 each Send Order To Email: firstgolden@telkomsa.net NB! Due to the service contract that you signed with us, it binds us that any toners you purchase in an emergency Bytes will reimburse you the full amount paid.
