The first contact from \"Stacey\" came yesterday via text to my phone, requesting \"pls [sic] sent the pics of the engine to my e-mail straceyharris72@gmail.com or video of the vehicle. I obliged. I received response e-mails this morning:
Thank you for getting back to me,can you assure me that i will not be

I\'m ready to pay your asking price but not cash in person because I\'m
an Oceanographer and i am presently on a contract which will end in
couple of months, the contract is strictly no call due to the lack of
reception on the sea area, but I\'m able to access my mail through my
laptop and my only quickest payment option is PayPal,its safe fast and
secure and i will be responsible for the pay pal transaction charges

paypal, its pretty easy to open one,Just log on to www.paypal.com and

Dad\'s birthday is fast approaching,am sure he will love this

Oceanographer sent same exact email to us for our vehicle that was listed on AutoTrader.com. He wanted a quick purchase for his father's (a mechanic/handyman) birthday. Claimed he was unavailable except by email. Offered asking price. Was going to have some pick up vehicle and handle title for him while he was "away".
He's using PayPal to scam. It is not Paypal but this scammer that is the problem. He will try to get your information to steal money from your PayPal account or essentially take the car without payment. Thank you to all who have posted here on this as this info definitely saved us from being scammed.

This is the address I have to send money to for the shipper to pick up my vehicle. The total overpayment he put into my Paypal was $1,830.00 plus $170.00 which I should forward to the company.
The Paypal payment email was so bogus! I've had a Paypal account for well over 10 years and it states since I have a NEW account I have to wait for funds to clear etc. etc.
283 North H Street, Tilton, IL 61833
This is the headquarters for the shipping company ran by Timothy Whicker. Google this DUMP! You can see not many are falling for this scam living in such a place.

I received exactly the same Email earlier today, regarding an Auto Trader Classics ad I had placed, after an initial contact asking if the car was still available. The only difference was the originating Email address.
