I advertised a pricey watch on Gumtree. He txtd immediately and said he wanted to buy it for his son. He offered way above the asking price and I accepted thinking he really wanted it. He emailed to say a Paypal email would be arriving confirming that he had paid and gave me an address in Nigeria for his son asking me to send it there, The email did arrive but didn\'t look right and when I checked my Paypal account the money was not there!
The address in Nigeria was:
Daniel Johnson,
Cocoa House Mall, off Liebu Bypass,
Ibadan,
Oyo State
Nigeria,23402

This is the address of his son he said for me to post the watch there!
I have the emails still.

This guy contacted me about a high price watch i had listed asking me to send it and send him my paypal details. Very much like all the other stories on here. He said he was buying it for his son.
It seemed suss the amount he was offering and his english wasnt great plus the text came from a strange phone no.
So i googled his name and found this thread of other scams hes pulled.

Put my MacBook up on gumtree for 600 and was met with an email from one "Hayden Johnson" offering me 770 if i could post to his son, Daniel Johnson in Nigeria. Though its was unlikely so a quick search on google brought me here.

I advertised a Macbook on Gum Tree, offered me way above the asking price and gave me an address in Nigeria, I have not accepted his offer or payment but I'm pretty sure he's trying to do the same to me as the previous victim.
