Classified Ads Scam
Gumtree |  +2 Scammed after advertising a car for sale on Gumtree Same \"MO\" - Lisa Patrick - wanting to buy my son\'s car. Emailed him the following message:
Thanks for mailing back,am ok with the price and the condition,i work with New Zealand Oil and Gas (NZOG) and we are presently offshore in New Zealand Taranaki Basin on kupe project.We do not have access to phone at the moment,its 15 days off and 15 days on and that\'s why I contacted you with internet messaging facility.Regarding the payment,i will be paying you through PayPal,please get back to me with your paypal details so i can process the payment,you can alternatively send your bsb and acct number if you have no PayPal acct.I have also contacted my courier who will come for pick up and deliver it to my place in Darwin after the whole fund has been cleared into your acct.
Several emails were sent from \"Paypal\" guaranteeing that they were holding the funds until the agent\'s fee was paid. And one threatening one demanding payment to complete the transaction.
My son paid the fee by Western Union to a branch in China - never to be seen again. Scammed a solo father with 2 children fighting a custody case and struggling to survive on a benefit from Aust. govt. May these scammers rot in hell for all time.

I advertised on Gumtree, this is what I sent and received
He contacted me through my mobile phone and I replyed thru emails , telling him the lowest price, then I received this-
