I got the same scum with dave edmond.
This is email he sent me after I concerened about up front payment for his freight charges.
"I do understand you re not comfortable with this,just that i don't have any other option as am on a mining field and i can't locate a western union shop or post office,this is a favor which i will appreciate from you as am a bit incapacitated right now."

Exactly the same as the other post above (was selling a motorbike on gumtree). Wanted $950 transferred via western union and as a regular pay pal and ebay user I knew this was not legitimate. Kept playing along though to see how much information i could receive out of him and became quite forceful in his wording saying i must borrow this money immediately and trasnfer it now. Mentioned about perhaps involving the police and no reply since.

Scam is the same as above but this time Edmonds has changed his occupation to working in a "mining field" (his words not mine) somewhere in Northern Territory Australia.
This is my reply to him (feel free to copy it and send it to him)
Its not good enough and it sounds like a scam..
I know the following things about you so far; you are somewhere in England and not in the northern territory Australia, English is your second language,  You run several alias's using gmail or hotmail accounts using the same method to try and extract funds from unsuspecting/naive people, You have pre typed answers that you use to try and gain their trust. You don't do your research as the item was for sale for $4600 and not $9000.
I have enough "header" information from your emails to obtain your ISP and your true identity.
So you need to have a good look at your yourself as you no more than a common thief that sits behind your computer and a gutless piece of sh#%!!!
So expect a knock at the door soon...

Have my truck for sale and first tocontactme Dave Edmond same as all the others wanting my Pay Pal A/C details felt uneasy about this and googled Dave and here I am.

I had nearly the exact same email from this Scammer (Dave Edmond) he wanted to purchase my item and gave me the same story of his work not letting him get to the post office/western union to pay for his freight company. He then sent me a fake email from PAYPAL saying his money had been transferred into my account. He then asked me to pay for the freight and then the money would come through.
Contacted PAYPAL and they are now investigating all conversations. DO NOT GET SUCKED IN BY THIS SCUM.

Selling our truck on Gumtree - got a response from "Dave" wanting to buy it - same issue that everyone else has had with him - paypal payment and transfer money through Western Union! I contacted paypal and they advised it was a scam!! thank goodness I didn't pay! Also contacted Gumtree to advise them of the scam too!

Exactly the same word for word with my car i have for sale. accept now I am playing games with him pretending ive put the money through and am even getting fake emails from paypal. waste my bloody time ill waste theres

Pretty much as the other report was word for word. Too much info and sounded sus
