I advertised my vehicle for sale on carsguide.com.au. A prospective buyer, David Jones, sent me a txt message indicating his interest and an email address jonesdavid694@gmail.com to contact him for details. Mr.Jones told me he worked for NZ oil and gas and was stationed offshore so he could only arrange things by email as there was no mobile coverage on the platform. He agreed to pay me $12,000 for the car and said it would be paid into my paypal account. Then I got the following eamil.
\"I was just about to pay when i had this problem with the pick up, my pick up agent says i will need to pay for the pick up before they can schedule a pick up time, they charged me $1,500 for pick up and delivery and payments for pick up made through them is made to their corporate international headquarters in China and the payments is made through western union money transfer, i will add the $1,500 to the money i will send as soon as i have made the payments,i will need you to help me send the money to my pick up agent HQ in China through western union money transfer, this can be done from any post office, there is always western union money transfer section in most post offices,i would have done it myself but as i am at sea and didnt bring my credit card aboard,.I will appreciate your help here and thanks for your understanding\" It turned out later that I was to pay Mt. I had a couple of emails from PayPay appearing to guarantee that his payment had been mad and was only holding pending my confirmation that $1600 was sent by me to the couriers. Fortunately for me my sister works for the Post Office in the Western Union money transfer section, and I bailed out before losing $1600
