Customer placed an order for a product.
Credit card used to pay for product did not go through. (1st Red Flag)
Customer called back with (2) Credit Cards that appeared to have cleared.
Upon processing the order, our accounting department became suspicious of an order placed with a credit card that would be shipping to a foreign country.
Customer requested that we use their Shipping Company. (2nd Red Flag)
We have notified our "Merchant Services" and will follow thru accordingly.
This is a "classic" SCAM. They pay for the product + shipping, you forward payment for shipping, credit card company "yanks" the money back and you are out the international shipping cost = i.e. $4,490.95.
Quite a chunk of change if you fall for it!!
