Here's additional info on this scam - once they rip you off for the $1000 courier fee they then try to gain access to your bank account.
I got an email back from the guy about the truck.  He said he had deposited $7500 into my paypal account, but paypal was holding the money until the fee for the courier was paid. He wanted me to send $1000 to the courier so paypal would release the funds to me.  He also said that I would get an email from paypal about this and sure enough I got an email from paypal saying that he had deposited this money into my account and they couldn't release it to me until the courier was paid.  I phoned paypal and asked them about this and they assured me they didn't send me any email and my account was indeed closed with a zero balance in it.   Today I got an email from CIBC that says I have to verify my online account, just click this link to sign in to my account.  I phoned CIBC and they said the email wasn't from them and they asked me to forward it to their fraud department which I did. 

Got a story of being offshore, but Daniel said he was from Quebec and he would be having the truck couriered there. After setting up a PayPal account, he then said he didn't have his credit card on the ship he was working on and could we use Western Transfer to send $960 to his courier in China.

I was just about to pay when i had this problem with the pick up, my pick up agent says i will need to pay for the pick up before they can schedule a pick up time, they charged me $950 for pick up and delivery, and payments for pick up made through them is made to their corporate international headquarters which is in the china and the payments is made through western union money transfer, i will add the $950 to the money i will send through paypal as soon as i have made the payments, i will email you and let you know and please i will need you to help me send the money to my pick up agent Hq in the china through western union money transfer, this can be done from any post office ,there is always western union money transfer section in most post offices(you can do it online as well at www.westernunion.com)..., i would have done it myself but as i am at sea and didnt bring my credit card aboard, i am a little incapacitated.I will appreciate your help here.
