Laurie her so called daughter posted a 2003 Toyota Tacoma for sale. It had 108,000 miles and selling for $1,200. I messaged Laurie and she said that her mom would contact me. Laurie gave me her moms email address....Jessica.Davis1271@gmail.com. Jessica the contacted me via email and said she mentioned her son passed away and the vehicle was his and that she wanted to get rid of it because it gave her bad memories. She wanted my name, phone number and address so she can make the deal via Ebay Motors. She mentioned she was in Florida (vehicle in California). She had sent 3 different emails and on the first email I had not realized this was a scam but only gave her my name and phone number but not my address. I'm still sort of worried that they may try to do something. I know you can get someones address by the phone number. Cost like 95 cents. So I don't know what to expect or I should do. Any suggestions?

Scam Email
Email #1: Hi, My name is Jessica Davis and I'm emailing you regarding the 2003 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner SR5 that I have for sale. It is in perfect condition, with no need for any additional repairs. Flawless exterior condition, no scratches and no dents. It has never been involved in an accident. The interior is in excellent condition. I have a Clear Title. Great mileage: 105,000 miles with 2.7L 4 Cyl, and the automatic transmission shifts perfectly. The last price for the vehicle is $1,200 (including delivery and handling to your address). I'm selling this car because my child of only 26 years died 4 months ago in a bike accident, this was my son's car and it brings me bad memories.Me and my husband travel a lot with our business and we want to make this deal through eBay's Buyer Protection Program, so if you're interested in purchasing the vehicle just reply me your full name, full address and phone number, so I can notify eBay Motors. Once that is done, they will contact you in the next hours to explain the entire procedure. God Bless you and your family! Email #2 Hello again, Thank you for your reply. As I explained in my previous email I was accepted for a new job and I moved to my hometown in Orlando,FL. I am a regular eBay user and for this sale I decided to use their services. They won't give me any money until you receive and test the car for 10 days. The car is at the shipping company, ready to be delivered. We also benefit of free shipping, it will be delivered to your address within 3 days and you have a 10 days inspection period to test and inspect it. So if you wanna make this deal I need the following details from you:-full name and address-shipping address-phone number.Once I got all the details, I'll forward them to eBay and they will proceed with the order. They'll contact you with all the information that you need to complete this deal and also they will confirm that the deal is conducted through them and I'm a legitimate seller. Waiting your email with the requested details. Thank you! Email #3 The car looks and runs like new. It has never been involved in any accident. If the car is not suitable for you from any reason, your money will be fully refundable and I will take the car back on my cost. I'm sure it won't be the case because it's a state of art looking and working machine. Anyway, you will have 10 days from the time you receive the car to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not. If you want to buy it please email me your full name and full address (street, city, state, and zip code) for shipping so I can initiate the transaction through eBay. After that they will contact you with all necessary information about this transaction (terms, buyer protection, payment instructions, invoice, etc. )

1st message: Thank you for contacting me about my 2003 Nissan Murano. The car is in great shape with 90,000 mileage, it's automatic with 3.5L V6 GAS . I'm the first owner, it was never been involved in accidents and has clear title.I am selling it for $1000 because my husband died 1 month ago (he had a heart attack) and brings me bad memories. Along with my daughter we decided to sell the house and moved to my brother in (Orlando,FL) trying to start a new life.l want to use eBay services, so if you're interested in purchasing the car just reply me your full name, full address (city, state and zip code) and phone number, so I can notify eBay. Once that is done, they will contact you in the next 24 hours to explain the entire procedure. Thanks! I reply: Can I come see it? Cash on hand. 2nd message: Hi again,
The vehicle is located at EBay Motors Storage Facility in Orlando, Florida in container, sealed and ready for transport. As I said, I travel a lot and I prepared the sale through eBay Motors Buyer Protection. All you have to do is pay for the vehicle is only $1,000, no other taxes (delivery is already ready and paid by me). The vehicle will come with all the necessary notarial documents to pass on your name (clear title, invoice, automatic user, insurance, etc.) will take 2 or 3 working days. You will have a 5-days inspection period. All this time, eBay Motors will safely keep your money in a trusted account. Therefore, this is not a blind transaction, you can see the vehicle before deciding to buy it. If you decide to keep it informed EBay Motors about this and they will release the money for me. If the vehicle is not as published and decides not to keep it, eBay Motors will refund your money, ask questions and do not send the vehicle will be my concern. But I do not think this will be necessary because the vehicle is like in the pictures and how I described it, making sure you enjoy this vehicle. If you wish to move forward please send me your full name, full shipping address (street, city, state and zip code) and your phone number so i can start the transaction thru eBay Motors (with no further obligation or fees),then they will contact you with more info and further instructions.
Thank you!
