Purchase of vehicle via Gumtree. Emails sent via 2 email address (markmyth01@gmail.com and mi.richie540@gmail.com). Initial email stating:
I am ready to buy the vehicle now because i'm buying this as a birthday gift for brother in-law and i am on the sea at the moment as i am a marine engineer and due to the nature of my work, phone calls making and visiting of website are restricted but I squeezed out time to check this advert and send you an email regarding it. I really want the car to be a surprise for brother in-law so i wont let him know anything about the car until it gets delivered to him, I am sure he will be more than happy with the car.But i don't have access to my bank account on line as i don't have internet banking, but i can pay from my paypal account, as i have my bank a/c attached to it, i will need you to give me your paypal email address and the price so i can make the payments asap for the car and please if you don't have pay pal account yet, it is very easy to set up, go to www.paypal.com.au and get it set up, after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address you use for registration with paypal so as to put the money through..I have a private courier agent that will come for the pick up after the payment have been made ...so no shipping included and With the issue of my details,transferring the name of ownership and signing of all paperwork will be done by the courier services company agent so you don't have to worry about that.You can now send me your Pay Pal email so i can pay in right away and also include your address in your reply so that my shipping agent can figure it out...regards

Thanks for the swift response and do as well advise on the least amount you will like to give it away as i am buying this for Dad and due to the nature of my job and location...i will not be able to come for inspection,am a very busy type as i work long hours everyday,i have gone through your advertisement and i am satisfied with it.
As for the payment..i can only pay via the fastest and secure way to pay online(PayPal) here.
I have a private courier agent that will come for the pick up after the payment have been made ...so no shipping included and With the issue of my details,transferring the name of ownership and signing of all paperwork will be done by the courier services company agent so you don't have to worry about that.
You can now send me your PayPal email so i can pay in right away and also include your address in your reply.If you don't have a paypal account, you can easily set up one...log on to www.paypal.com.au and sign up its very easy... i would have loved to talk to you on phone but i work mainly offshore, our phone is down on the rig right now due to bad weather, that was why i sent you a text, i even wonder how my message deliver to your phone but for now we can only communicate through the same mailing channel.await your reply asap.

Shortly after the Micah text we stopped relpying to him and this was the next email we received. Obviously the same scammer O.o

Also got the text from him asking for final amount wanted for our "Ford Falcon For Sale Advertisement".Lucky we googled his name first

selling my car and i recieved a message saying
is the car still available for sale and whats your final price email me mi.richie540 at gmail.com my battery is flat so we can talk better - sent from iphone4

Got the same message email back and got this reply:
