I advertised an engagement ring for sale on Gumtree. I received several emails from "Gary Fisher" who then stated he wanted to purchase the ring via a PayPal account.
He asked me to set up a paypal account.
I set up a PayPal account.
Stated that he has made payment to my account (nothing received)
and wanted me to send a $20,000 dollar ring to "Timi Ross" address: Chuan Mei daxue dingfuzhuang Chaoyang District, Beijing. Zip code 100024.
Country: P.R. China
Phone number 18641695795.
States that he is "offshore" and wants to send the ring to a "special friend" overseas for a birthday gift.
Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell.
And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can.
So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we
hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
