| dating He approached me on Facebook and started slowly. He said he like my pictures and things went very quickly from there. Within weeks he was making promises of marrying me, but he kept coming up with excuses about being stuck in a foreign country, and needing money to get out of jail and other stupid things that should have alerted me, but I kept giving him money because he kept promising me that he had all kinds of money that he just couldn\'t get to for one reason or another. I told him I didn\'t have any more money, and he kept trying to get me to borrow it from friends and family, but that\'s when I realized I had been taken. I lost over $20,000 to this person. It was all I had, and he just kept me on the hook with promises of marriage. He even talked to my kids over the phone and almost had them convinced to loan him money, but we talked after getting off the phone with him, and realized it was a scam. He kept trying to send him money for weeks, but once he realized I wasn\'t going to send any more money, he dropped me like a rock. |
