This scammer contacted my best friend on DateHookUp.com and wooed her for two weeks. Told her he was a gemologist/geologist working in Turkey but owned a home in New Zealand and rented a suite in East Vancouver, BC (we are from Vancouver).
Guess what? After less than 2 weeks, he sends her an email that he has dropped his backpack in a mine and needs her to pay for and send him a Mac Airbook.
If you are on DateHookUp.com and receive a "wink" or ANYTHING from David Kaufmann, run. I am sure it is a couple of guys who have made up a handful of false IDs and are preying on vulnerable women. Shame on them.
