Dating Scam
Yahoo |  dating scammer contacted me on match.com I was contacted on match.com by Michael Bruce. He claimed to be an independent construction manager from Brazil, living in Louisville KY. He had just won a bid for a job in Malaysia. \"Once there\" he emailed 2-4 times a day, professing over the top feelings and love for me. Eventually he had a cash problem because the banking system in Malaysia was different and it would take too long for his check to be cashed and he had to pay a crane company. He needed $12,500. He got around to asking me for the money. When I said no, he came back and said he was flying home to Louisville, to get cash straightened out (and see me) but his cash problem left him short for his airline ticket and he needed $1,500. He even sent me a copy of an airline itinerary, but it was just a reservation. Of course, I refused and asked him to resend once it was paid for and to also send me a copy of his original paid ticket from Louisville to Malaysia. At that point, he dropped contact. |
