I had a truck cap for sale in craigslist and he texted and said he was interested in buying it. He then went on to day he is an oceanographer and his only way to communicate is by text. He asked to send a check in which he would send extra and I was to take out my amount and give the extra to the movers. I told my wife and she said scam!! So I replied no deal and then I get a second text from him from a different phone number 313-355-2657 with another message that he wasn\'t sending the check and to text him when I got it. Again I told him no deal! |

This Guy contacted me about a gas stove for sale I posted on Craigslist. He started by telling me he was an oceanographer that worked offshore, and texting was the only way of communication. I was told that I would receive a check, to cash said check, and send the remaining amount to the shippers via money gram or western union. I googled the number to find out he's done this to others. I replied right away with a NO thanks!
