Rental Scam
|  +3 Smart rentals is now Smart vacation INC I looked for an apartment to rent in NY in Home Away and received and email form Smart Vacation about a great apartment too good to be true, but I looked for info and did not find anything, good or bad. Until I came to this page and found a lot of mails from smart rentals and that they are exactly the same, based in UK and you have to pay 100% to a bank in England. Here is the mail

Upon trying to book a property on vrbo this company replied with a too good to be true offer as follows (for a property for which they would not provide a street address"

I was looking for accommodation in NYC and received an offer from this man claiming to be Rony Davis from smart vacation inc for a rate that was FAR too good to be true in a location that was prime.
Upon further e-mail back and forth and investigation, this has SCAM written all over the place! DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE SCAM ARTISTS!
RED FLAGS:
* On their website, there is NO contact number and on their about page you can view the descriptions of staff. Rony Davis is listed as a director and in description he is referred to as SHE, what kind of professional website would overlook this?! Furthermore, a director of a company would NOT be sending emails of rates, it is the property managers job to do this!
* When sending them emails, they reply with bad spelling errors, no mention of from who and doesn't address email to your name.. just a 'hi,..'
*They want FULL 100% payment by BANK TRANSFER ONLY… to London!
* When asked about contact phone number, they always reply with only email assistance… no way to trace them!
* what kind of big firm would have a gmail account!!? For a director's position as well, only using the gmail account!
DO NOT TRUST THIS SMART VACATION INC!!!!!

After emailing VRBO for some rentals in Paris, I received this response with no referral of which property I had inquired about:
