This was a scam on my Boise craigslist posting to sell a Garmin GPS.
Scammer also provided another email address in their email. It was Peelertwa570@gmail.com.
Email 1:
"Hope you doing good..Sure we can meet tomorrow (Monday) I would like to call you first if you provide me with your number. I should be able to meet in the morning if that is not a problem. I may have to meet a bit closer to 11. Please let me call first and we can decide price and time that works for you email me your number and last price at... Peelertwa570@gmail.com Thanks, have a great Sunday."
That made me suspicious... just didn't ring true somehow. Nevertheless I responded I was flying out of town tomorrow (probably a mistake) and offered to meet with them in town any time today.

That also bothered me. Still not knowing it was a scam I explained that I also practice the Golden Rule but am hesitant to give out my address because of the potential for abuse with craigslist.
I suggested my son meet him in town tomorrow for the transaction and gave my phone number (probably a mistake) and asked that he call me.
Then I decided to google the terrij0o@gmail.com address and that's when all the scam hits appeared with exactly the same wording as the message I received.
I think overall I was tipped off by 1) the person starting out sounding a little too familiar, claiming to be god-fearing and needing honesty from ME, 2) the offer to pay by check when PayPal is obviously a better option, 3) the request that I respond ASAP, and 4) the request for my address. All those items were odd.
I glad I discovered it.
Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell.
And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can.
So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we
hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
