| JT San Antonio, TX, United States 2014-07-11 16:39:00 Classified Ads Scam Craigslist (craiglist.com) | +1 Craigslist Ad I recently posted an ad on Craigslist for the sale of some furniture items I no longer have any use for. I then received a text message from the above listed number from a person claiming to be \"Michelle Scott\". She began the conversation like an interested buyer, asking what condition it was in, if I was the first owner, and for additional photos. I responded with them, and she proceeded to inform me that she would love to pay me via PayPal and that any additional charges would be on her. She told me to get back to her with my PayPal email and my name, or to send her a PayPal invoice so that she could pay me right away, and she would arrange a pick up after the payment was received. She also wanted me to confirm the sale by removing my Craigslist posting. With that my suspicions began to arise, and a simple Google search of her email address \"Michellescott455@gmail.com\" and the phone number she texted me from \"214-612-2880\" returned multiple Scam Alerts associated with this individual for similar if not identical situations. |

Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell.
And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can.
So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we
hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
