Thank you for the mail, am okay with the little details have read in the advert compare to the others have seen recently ,Pleas does it have any more history I should be aware of. I work with New Zealand Oil and Gas (NZOG) and we are presently on a mine site, We do not have access to phone at the moment, its 15days off and 15days on,which is why I contacted you with internet messaging facility.
I am buying this for my first son who just graduated ontop of his class at Charles Darwin University in NT and I want it to be a surprise graduation gift for him. I will really appreciate if you can email more info in regards to the condition.
Regarding the payment i don't have access to my bank account online as am not with my credit card details here on our mine site but i have my ANZ bank account linked up with my PayPal account so I will be paying you through PayPal to your nominated bank account or better still if you have a PayPal account . I will arrange for pick up and delivery to NT by my freight agent after the fund cleared into your bank account.
Regards,
Patrick.
Scam EmailSends a text message asking you to send him and email with details of the car. The rest is the same as the other peoples scams. Words are exactly the same. I was onto him as I could tell by the way he wrote and once he mentioned Western Union I was straight onto him.

Email No.02 - In Relation to An Initial Response
Thanks for the explanation and photo, I think the best way to go about the reg is to cancel it as am aware that your reg is not valid in NT so its of no use ,My son will re-reg it upon delivery .I am satisfied with your firm asking price and I really appreciate your honesty, that is what i really need most as I wont be able to come for inspection as am at work ,just want to buy the it to show my appreciation in my absentia and believe he will really enjoy it.I would have loved to inspect or have Anthony(My son) inspect but i will still be away from home for a few months more which makes inspection impossible for me and I am making it a %100 surprise package for him, i dont want him to know about it until its delivered.
Am happy to inform you that i have an upgraded paypal account (business merchant account) so i can make a direct deposit to your nominated bank account from my paypal account .Please advise me of the details so i can make the transfer ASAP, your bank details I will need are: name of your bank, name of account holder, bsb and account number and after the payment has been sorted out, I have a private courier that will come for the pick up and make a personal delivery to my son after the payment clears into your account.

Exact same emails were sent to me regarding purchase of vehicle.
He said he would transfer the money plus extra $1050 for shipping that I would have to go and deposit into a Western Union account. Obviously a scam.
Scam Emailam happy to proceed with the payment, however i just got a confirmation mail from the shipping company now that i will need to pay for the freighting fees before they can schedule pre-shipping/ pickup date, they charged $1,050aud for the pick up and delivery, but the problem is they only accept western union money transfer as form of payment which is sent to their HQ in the China. As you are well aware of, due to the nature of my work am away and do not have access to western union, most post offices have western union section, will it be ok with you if I add the $1,050aud to the amount I am transferring? and as soon as the money goes through you can help me make the western union transfer of the freighting fees through western union money transfer? You are not obliged to help me, but i will indeed appreciate your help as I am a little incapacitated here.Cheers.

We have received emails from a Patrick Gan asking to buy our car through paypal - obvious suspicious emails and wording - a quick google search showed New Zealand Oil and Gas (his company supposedly) involved in a number of car buying scams.
