Scam artist under the name Patrick Gann. Sent the following email after responding to my carsales.com.au ad via text and then I responded to their email request.

Have reported to PayPal and WA Scamnet.

First got the text "Good Morning, Please is ur carsales car advert still available and what is the final price, Kindly email me on patrick22gan@gmail.com with more details. Cheers" I emailed back with some info and got the following reply:

Thank you for the mail, am okay with the little details have read in the advert compare to the others have seen recently ,Pleas does it have any more history I should be aware of. I work with New Zealand Oil and Gas (NZOG) and we are presently on a mine site, We do not have access to phone at the moment,its 15days off and 15days on,which is why I contacted you with internet messaging facility. I am buying this for my first son who just graduated on-top of his class at Charles Darwin University in NT and I want it to be a surprise graduation gift for him. I will really appreciate if you can email more info in regards to the condition. Regarding the payment i don\'t have access to my bank account online as am not with my credit card details here on our mine site but i have my ANZ bank account linked up with my PayPal account so I will be paying you through PayPal to your nominated bank account or better still if you have a PayPal account . I will arrange for pick up and delivery to NT by my freight agent after the fund cleared into your bank account. Regards, Patrick.
