| Mike Las Vegas, NV, United States 2014-09-28 19:49:34 Classified Ads Scam Craigslist (craiglist.com) | +1 Henry Edward scam I posted some of my things to sell on craigslist. I received a text from 412-479-0771 asking me if my item was still available for sale and to please reply to private email henrydwrd005@gmail.com.
This seemed a little odd, but I didn\'t think much of it at that point and I emailed the person. I received a response back as follows:
\"Great thanks for the response, would you accept a Money Order /Bank Check as payment then after it clears your Bank, I will add $30 to the purchase price... for you to hold it for me. I will have my mover come over for the pick up? If you are OK, let me have your name and address to send the payment to you tomorrow morning.\"
Now this seemed very odd to me so I google searched the Henry Edward email address and found out it is a scam other people have encountered, too. Thus, I halted communication. |

The same ting happened to me. I have an item on Craigslist and got the text referred to in the other entry. I decided to check that number since I knew it was from a different state than where I am......... and, sure enough, it is a know scammer. I won't be responding if I get an email as described.
Scam EmailI was not scammed because I found this site.
Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell.
And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can.
So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we
hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
