Letter promising $4.2 million to me for standing as beneficiary of an estate of a person with same last name. Letter came from PO Box 1000, Markham ON Canada with metered postage (likely some remailing service). My name, address and postal code were correct. Scammer requested correspondence via fax. Amateurish letterhead, some grammar / syntax errors in text. Internet search revealed: letterhead address in Brazil Indiana doesn\'t exist; phone landline is in Evansville Indiana; fax landline is in Salt Lake city, Utah. Illegible phony signature. Letter obviously photocopied or computer-generated. Letter written by some fraudster familiar with the English language, using a Canadian remailing service, and personalizing the mail using phone book data. Scammer requests \"all documents or letters must return by fax\", and \"kindly keep this transaction private\". The claim \"this letter was mailed out to you when I was in Canada visiting my family\" is obviously false (see above).
