Gumtree |  +1 Got in touch regarding a Gumtree listing He contacted me via text, his number did not appear but his name did (despite never having heard from him before) The text received just said it was from "Graeme" I thought that was strange.
Asked me to email him if my laptop was still for sale. At this point I hadn't realised the nature of the scam although I was feeling slightly uneasy. Emailed and he responded with the same email I have seen he sent to another reporter. Email said he was happy to pay for product but could not meet to pay as he is working at an oil rig in NZ. Instead he would transfer money via paypal and then would organise his courier to deliver.
At this point I realised that this was dodgy, looked his email up and saw a similar situation having been reported here. I have reported the email as spam and can't access it to post the contents.

Very similar to the previous reported scam for Graeme Nicholson. Contacted me through Gumtree add, actually can in from a different user account (Sarah Manase) stating: "Is the price negotiable and what is is the last asking price ? What are there any major issues with it?? my partner is interested in it and she doesn't have a gumtree account,please kindly get back to her via ngraeme07@gmail.com.

After responding to the email address, and the gumtree address with a response to what appears to be a legitimate enquiry, I received the story in the email below - note the similarity to the previously reported scam story.
