Other Payment Site |  Claims to be Green Dot customer service, takes your information and steals your funds. I purchased a Green Dot reload card to apply to my school debit card. I was having difficulty loading the funds, and there was no number listed on the card in which I could speak to an actual representative, so I researched the number via the internet, and found a number in which had a corresponding website. I called that number and the individual answered "Green Dot". I explained the problem, and they stated that they would manually load the funds. The funds were never applied, I called multiple times and they said they were having technical difficulties, I began getting suspicious when the funds were not applied and I could not get them to provide me with a confirmation of the reload request. After several more calls, I was being cut off, and then I only received busy signals. I researched telephone numbers again, and finally reached and spoke to a legitimate Green Dot representative, and they told me that my funds were gone. I have filed a claim with them, but they stated that it was nothing they could do, the funds were the same as cash. I have also filed a claim with the Federal Trade Commission and the FBI. Bottom line if Green Dot Corporation provided an actual customer service number on the card, this scam would not be possible.
