Person on Mingle dating site uses the screen name Sherry White. Individual then informs me her real name is Courtney Davis. After a few well written emails, the individual then tells me she needs my assistance with her internet bill. She needs $720. Individual will not let me pay the internet company directly;says it must be done on a reloadit card. After I delay that request, she wants me to deposit cash into her "friend's" bank account at Regions bank. Account # 0218260705. Account name Gayla J Harvey. I tell her there are no Regions Banks in my area and inquired as to who this Gayla individual was. I get an evasive story. Then the individual tells me she has another "friend" with bank accounts at Bank of America and Wells Fargo. She gives me a Wells Fargo account number of 2543286898 and account name of Ibrahim Sowande. A quick internet search of that name reveals a scammer running a dating scam on Zoosk. I ask this individual to take a picture of herself holding a card with my name on it, and that she must hurry because the bank closes in 20 minutes. She sends a picture as requested, however a Christmas tree was in the background (and this is the middle of May) and the card with my name was very obviously photoshopped. One clue to the scam is that the first emails were very well written. When the requests for money started, the English had broken down and spelling mistakes were numerous.

Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell. And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
