Same story as above. This scammer contacted me on Chemistry.com and said he was cancelling his subscription. Same MO: widower, his wife and oldest daughter were killed in a car accident in Sweden. A retired Cardio -Thorarcic Surgeon with 2 sons who still live there with his sister. He moved to US to escape the "pain" of reliving the accident. He came on very strong asking 11 questions. Immediately was talking of love, using endearing terms such as baby, my darling, my love, etc. Very charming, very educated in speaking and writing. After 4 weeks of emailing, texting, and calling he claimed he had to fly to South Africa to work for Petronas on a cardiology unit for a brand new state of the art hospital in Cape Town. He claimed when he arrived one piece of luggage did not make it and his lap top, iphone, and mini pad were stolen in customs. Everything with his designs for the job. He asked for me to send a lap top and iphone to replace the stolen ones. He wished his sons were in the states so he could ask them. About 10 days later another disaster occurred and he needed $5,000 to pay to get his materials he had ordered from Hong Kong out of customs. This guy is a work of art. I hope this helps.
