I asked them, did they know where i was located? and how did they come about my information? "Yes I know where you are located and I am ordering for a pickup order and my order ill be picked up by my carrier on that date by 2pm, and I want a Caesar salad with additional dressing and I want you to go ahead now and calculate the total cost for me now plus the tax while I hold here now" The conversation went on for a while, me asking more food questions and them giving me answer but always stating they wanted me to give them a total and charge them for it. At one point once we agreed to payment, I told them I used paypal, they said there bank couldn't take paypal & wanted me to sign up for some one else. After I agreed to doing this there telephone number changed, they texted me from a different line say they where out of texting on that line. They then wanted to make sure I understood, "You send the $950 to the carrier upfront once the fund clear via money gram is that clear to you?" After reading that I again knew something was wrong, so I started to google catering scams. I found this post from someone else and had to make sure to share my story also. I know someone would have stop at the beginning, but unfortunately I'm looking for work and needed the money. I really thought I had an opportunity to make $1912.50 (18.00 per person) So please be careful, and not everything that sound good is good!. I really hope these people get caught for doing this, this is wrong! | |||||
