I put my boat up on Boat Sales and he responded with the following dialoge. I went back to him after two emails and told him I thought it was a scam. Be careful. See following details:

i would have called or come to see it in person but due to the nature of my work.my courier will come for the collection after the whole fund is cleared into your account and also do the signing of the necessary paper work if at all there is.Get back to me with your bsb, account name and number so that i can proceed with the payment asap as i will like it delivered to my place before my arrival in couple of days
Scam EmailEmail left me to be a little careful and I ended the conversation by letting the scammer know I would not want to proceed as I believed he was a scammer. I then checked on this site and viola here it is.

Exactly as described. Offered to buy my car and then said he needed to send $950 to shipping agent in China via Western Union. I said OK but only after all the funds appeared in my account. Not surprisingly, his emails stopped!
Scam EmailOriginal contact made via SMS. Sender given as: WebSMS, sent 22 Aug 2015 7:18pm.
Reply was not possible - I thought this was because it was sent by carsales.com.au but now think that he used a 3rd part SMS service to avoid using official channels.
