Listed car for sale. Attempted to get a courier to pick up the car and pay over PayPal. Situation was suspension so googled his email and found he has tried to scam others. BEWARE.

Same scam, he wants me to send money from western union 1100 for pickup and then paypal will release the transaction in my bank account. I received email in my junk folder plus email received from pay-palonlinebanking@accountant.com. So people please be careful.

Was selling my car on carsales.com.au and got an SMS from 0421269816 saying to email mellisabaum141@gmail.com, not call regarding the car. She asked if it was still for sale and I said "Yes". Then we get the following email
"Thanks a lot for the email. I'm away at sea at the moment, and we are presently offshore in New Zealand on project. We do not have access to phone at the moment, it's 15days off and 15days on,which is why I contacted you with internet messaging facility. Where is it located at the moment?
What's the present condition?Final Asking price?how many owners has it had?does it need anything to be replace or repair??has it ever been in a crash?Has it been kept in a garage?When last do you service it? I won't be able to come for the inspection due to the nature of my work and i would have called but our calling is restricted and i want it delivered before my arrival..Regarding the payment, I can pay you through direct bank deposit (EFT),using PayPal instant bank wire transfer service.I will need your Account name,BSB and Account number. If you are not comfortable with that, you can set up a PayPal account properly at www.PayPal.com.au and I will make the payment through PayPal,this way, all I will need is your PayPal email address.. I have also contacted my courier who will come for pick up after the whole fund has been cleared into your acct and deliver it in Northern Territory for me
With the issue of my details,transferring the name of ownership and signing of all paperwork will be done by the pick up agent.If you are not comfortable with that, you can cancel the registration and i will buy Unregistered.

I gave a very honest answer about the condition of the car, she/he/it then thanked me for my honesty (and was probably thinking "Sucker!!!") and sent through the following:
"Hi,
I appreciate your honesty with the detailed explanation with regards to your words on the status,I'm really satisfied and i also appreciate your honesty about the condition as that is what i really need most as wont be able to come for inspection as am on-board. I'm so keen to purchase,kindly send me bank details for payment so i can proceed as my pick up agent will ring you for pick up after you confirm to me you got the funds cleared into your account.

After that I sent through the details, it looked slightly suspicious but still entirely possible and got this back:
"I have a little problem with the freighting arrangement,the freighters said i will need to pay for the freighting fees before they can schedule pre-shipping/ pickup date,they charged $1,532 for the pick up and delivery with some papers they need to sort out for the transport, but the problem is they only accept western union money transfer as form of payment which is sent to their Head Quarters where they confirm all Commission Payment schedule for suitable Pick Up Date. ,as you what you are well aware of, I am away and do not have access to western union money transfer,I tried to pay online but i will need a credit card which i didn't bring along,you can make the western union transfer from any post office nearest to you ,they usually have western union section there, you should have one around you,will it be ok with you if I add the $1,532 to the amount I am transferring? and as soon as the money goes through you can help me make the transfer of the freighting fees through western union money transfer? You are not obliged to help me, but i will indeed appreciate your help as I am a little incapacitated here .

I said "yes", then:
"I have now completed the payment through PayPal Internet Banking. I sent $7,432.00 in all to your Bank account but the money is pending with PayPal and it will not be credited into your account because of the excess payments of $1,632.00 I added meant for pick up.Kindly check mail folders (inbox,spam and junk mail) for the payment confirmation receipt asap.You have to send $1,532 to my pick up agent's office via Western union at the post office or online at www.westernunion.com.au so that PayPal can release the money into your account as soon as you have emailed the Western union details to them. I added extra $100 to cover the Western union charges which shouldn't be more than $20-50 but just to be sure i added $100.
Here is the pick up agent info needed to get the money sent through western union money transfer.

Please Indicate at the western union that you want to send the money to a friend or relative in other to avoid paying high transfer charges.Kindly send the necessary details sent to paypal (Money Transfer Control Number) MTCN and senders name and address used to send the money so that they can release the whole fund into your account.Get back to me once done.

OK, so her shipping agent is in... China. Alarm bells start ringing, I find the PayPal emails in my SPAM folder and they look verrrrrry slick and realistic except for coming from "Notification Via PayPal Pay-PalOnlineBanking@accountant.com via yahoo.com "
One minute of Google-Fu and I notice it's a scam, plain and simple. And the only other suspicious thing about the fake PayPal emails is that they said the sender could not retrieve their funds until I had completed the Western Union money transfer.

Scammer email id. Please do not respond these WEBSMSs.
