Pappy Colly 6 responded to classified add offering Executive Office Suite. Sent text to phone asking if the item was still available and email pappycolly6@gmail.com. Replied with 1) Why are you selling?; 2)What's the present condition; 3) Are you the first owner, and; 4) Final price. I responding answering the questions, which did strike me as odd. Then I received this email:
"Okay thanks for the response, will you accept a bank certified check as form of payment then after it clears your Bank, I will have my mover to come over for the pick up because presently I'm on a tour. If you are OK, I'll need you to provide me with the following information below to facilitate the mailing of the check to you. (1) Name to be on the payment. .(2) Home or office address (3) Phone
Number."
I responded, even though I was becoming further suspicious. After this next response, I researched the email name, found it was reported as scam, and ended the communication.
"Hello , I want us to seal this deal and I want you to consider the item sold so as to keep other interested buyers off. I want you to know that pick up and mover's fee will be included in your payment and you'll make the pick up money payable to the movers as soon as you
receive the payment and my movers would arrange the appropriate time for pick up as I have other
properties to be moved. I assume this is based on trust, reply as soon as
possible so I can proceed with the payment."
Truly an odd exchange. Beware!!
