Anonymous Temple City, CA, United States 2015-10-08 22:23:28 Business Venture Scam | Testers Urgently needed for iPhone Scam" job posting on LinkedIn
"Testers Urgently needed for iPhone 6s and other products!!!!!!" I applied through LinkedIn with a cover letter and resume on 9/29/15. This morning, 10/8/15 at 5:50AM I received these 2 text messages (typed exactly as received): ______ 01/02:Hello, A very good day to you. This is Thomas and i am writing in regards to your application for the Apple iPhone tester programs. Please kindly email 02/02:(T.johnsonco1@gmail.com) for more information about this position. Thank You. Regards, Thomas. ______ When I checked my email a few hours later, I found the email pasted in the "Email Scam Source" window below. He may be phishing for personal info, although he has much of my information thanks to LinkedIn. In this email he is not asking for any more than he already has, but wants to know where the nearest "RELOADIT MONEY PACK store" is. I imagine the next step would be to use a Western-Union-type scam using Reloadit. Apple should care about this. They are either impersonating Apple or hijacking their recruitment. LinkedIn should shut this down. The version of the job that I actually applied for has been taken down, but I see four more when I do a search on LinkedIn as of 10/8/15 at 3:15PM. Note they have just been put up today: ______ 4 results for Testers Urgently needed for iPhone iPhone 6S Testers Urgently Needed!!!
