Date scammer using Janessa Brazil pictures and video's

This person contacted me on Match.com. We communicated for awhile and she asked to send me an e-mail. I am cautious but we had been talking for awhile so I gave her my e-mail address. Then she asked to chat on SKYPE. Se we did. Then we chatted for quite a few evenings and I learned first she was not living in Canada like she had listed, but in Ghana. This was the first red flag, now I was being more cautious. I then learned she was in Ghana and her mom was sick, second red flag. We talked and she had to borrow a web cam for both of us to see each other but she did not have a mic. She couldn't afford one so I decided to find out what she wanted and offered to send her one. She said no but send me $150 USD instead and she would buy one herself. I said it seemed like a lot of money for a web cam and she said it was expensive there. I agreed and within 2 seconds she had sent me the wiring information... of course in someone else's name because she is not a citizen there. This was the last flag simply due to the money and secondly, Western Union can send to anyone where there is a Western Union and a person with ID. This proved she was not who she said. I delayed the payment to verify my thoughts.

She found my phone number on SKYPE and started calling me. I never answered and she never left a message. I did research online and found "Janessa Brazil" to be the owner of the pictures used. On SKYPE this person used a looped video from one of Janessa's online sex recordings with the sex portion edited out and made the video glitchy and stand still using the excuse the webcam she borrowed was not very good. I found out these are standard scams online. I did not know who to report this to and have found a couple sites and reported to google and SKYPE as well.

I hope this saves at least one person grief. It is sad that this has to be a part of modern life. There are many people who don't have the experience or knowledge to pick up on these scams. It is a sad fact online these days.
