|  +2 SMS message to sale on boatels.com.au Received a WebSMS in response to a sale advertisement on boatsale.com. au. Asking us to respond to alilley8088@gmail.com.au. Requested provide condition and price. Information provided and 'Adam Lilley' responded with a request for paypal or bank details. Suspicious as effectively stating will buy item dight unseen and already commenced organising pickup and ship meant. Googled name/ company and scam alert game up. NZOG has a statement on their website stating they do not directly employ oil rig staff and that they ar aware company name being used in scams.

Thanks for getting back,i'm cool with the price likewise the condition as described on the advert,i work with New Zealand Oil and Gas (NZOG) and we are presently offshore in New Zealand Taranaki Basin on kupe project.We do not have access to phone at the moment and that's why I contacted you with internet messaging facility.Regarding the payment,i will be paying you through PayPal linked up with my westpac bank account,please get back to me with your paypal details so i can process the payment,you can alternatively send your bsb acct name and number if you have no PayPal acct.I have also contacted my courier who will come for pick up and deliver it to my place in Darwin after the whole fund has been cleared into your acct.

Same happened to me yesterday - went to the police and a drivers license he sent me is stolen - name Adam Lilley.

I received the exact same email word for word from the same email address following placing my ad on boatsales.com.au less than 24hrs ago. As stated in the original report/tip off, I was also suspicious for the same reasons so searched the email address and found this tip off - thank you very much!! I have copied the text of the email below and it can be seen they are exactly the same word for word.... Thanks for providing this valuable information and making it easily 'searchable'....
