| +1 Caregiver Job Scam I received a text message on my phone from Christina Morgan checking to see if I was available to care for her Mom. The job paid $20/hour and I could either work weekdays or weekends (basically 20 hours a week). They asked me to send my resume to christinamorgan208@gmail.com for more information. When I sent the resume, they contacted me with the offer of the job. They did not have a location as to where I would be taking care of the mom. They were supposedly securing the caregiver first. Then they told me they would send be $400 for the first weeks pay to secure my services but then another $2,500 for the direct wheelchair seller as they wanted to get a motorized wheelchair for mom. When I started to ask questions, like why did I need to give the wheelchair man the money, and what company they worked for, and could I talk with them over the phone they ignored these questions. I had asked where they had received my cell phone number and who had recommended me and they ignored that question also. They did end up giving an address as to where they would be living but when we looked it up it was a laboratory. They asked for all of the information to send the check: Name, address, phone number. |
