Jenny contacted me via text. She was interested in my advertisement on Kijji for some baby items I had listed. She asked me to email her at jenneytommy112@outlook.com. I emailed back asking her when she can come see the items. She texted me back with a different number and said she was busy at the base but she accepted my price and would like to buy the items. She asked me for my paypal information and to mark my items sold and she will send me the money.through PayPal. I emailed her back after deleting the texts that I didn’t fall for her scam and that I don’t give out my PayPal information.

I posted an item on gumtree for sale and received a text from a woman called Sophia Loop asking if I still had it, and that she was messaging for a friend who didn't have Gumtree, and gave me the email address michelletony09@gmail.com.
Eager to sell the item, I obliged and emailed her. She replied with the following:
Great! please consider both sold as i am willing to pay your full asking price because i need to buy it for my grandson asap,
i have read through the advert and i'm totally satisfied with it,
sadly i would not be able to come personally to collect due to my hearing loss and I'm in a wheelchair.
I have a courier agent that would help me to pick it up at your preferred location after you have received your money and i'll pay you via PayPal once you are ready.
Kindly get back to me with your location so that i can inform the courier agent about it now?
She then took a day or two to 'get in touch' with the courier agent and then email me, i was a bit suspciious as i then got the emails apparently from Paypal into my not paypal account, and from a non paypal email address... asking ME to pay the courier to which i would then get the 650$ back.. I kept putting it off, and the emails kept getting persistent and impatient. Finally, i decided after a week of putting it off, i called up Paypal to only find out it was indeed a scam. So I then emailed the person with a rather lenghty email giving details of how I knew it was a scam, the whole western union thing was sus from the beginning. I told them I would be going to the proper authorities should they try to contact me again.

Texts me, says email Jenny.
I do so.
Scammer tells me she is employed on a military bar in Florida.
I ask who texted me. Scammer says "that was Jenny"
WTF? I thought I was talking to Jenny?
Anyway, I'm emailing with the scammer, if only to use up their time.

They text your phone with a link to a for sale ad you have posted, giving you an email address asking you to respond to it with firm asking price. If you do this you will then be given a highee price than you're asking and told they only use paypal. After this there will be a western union scam.
Scam EmailReceived a text from 1 941-417-1710 asking me to contact jennytommy112@outlook.com with a firm price on my kijiji ad. I replied with the price and was then told just contact the email, i refused and Googled the address they gave. This email has been mentioned in a previous scam but the number has not. I replied to them stating that i knew what they were up to and to go get a real job, again they said just reply to the email we want to buy your item.

person demands you to email them back instantly and contacts off a Sheffield number, with strange words such as 'consider the item sold' and 'awaiting your reply soon' they personally cannot come and pick it up but soon want your paypal details, because that's their only payment method apparently.
Michelle Tony is the pseudonym name and in this instance they are wheelchair bound although in other complaints from other users, they are business persons in New Zealand !
