Paul Babu Bora, the son of a known medical Doctor in Nakuru (Dr. Babu Bora, of Babu Bora Clinic, Gate House Building, 2nd Floor) has been moving around Nairobi and Nakuru looking for IT vendors who could automate Mediheal Group of Hospitals. As 'Dr. Paul Babu', he claims that his family has acquired a controlling interest in Mediheal and would like qualified IT companies to conduct automation and business process re-engineering. From 21st January 2016, my company started holding meetings with Paul and one of the nurses of Mediheal Nakuru, who goes by the name of Ivy. 'Dr. Paul' even gave us a tour of Mediheal hospital in full view of the junior staff, possibly meaning that they either all knew Paul personally, or they were involved in this scam, or Paul was recently employed there, or had been using his father's name to intimidate staff. Over the few days in which we were interacting with this 'Dr. Paul', he would solicit for small funds for making urgent hospital payments, personal airtime, sudden emergencies, etc.
We eventually called on personal friends who knew the Asian Administration of Mediheal who confirmed that the hospital had not been acquired by the Babu Bora family, nor were they shareholders. We advised them to look into their Nakuru staff especially this nurse/or worker called Ivy and Paul before they swindle any more companies.
We note that Paul Babu has been mentioned before for scamming people in Nairobi. We wish to warn others, especially vendors within Nakuru to watch out for this character.
