I got the envelope and it looked real to me, I researched the letter and the people they give you to send the money are non-existence. Everything in the letter was leading me to believe was real until I got to that point. I decided not to call the number or text as indicated at the bottom of that letter and kept communicated by text or email. I decided to deposit the check and bank confirmed instantly the check might return no funds and a hold be placed on the check. I went to the bank personally and the personal banker showed me a fake cashier check very similar to my check but made for my bank. I doubt the banker because I wanted him to call the bank to find out if the account was fake. HSBC Premier confirmed account was closed due to fraudulent transactions. |
