As published by a previous gumtree user. A minute and a half after posting my ad to sell my motorcycle - I recieved a text message from a person claiming to be Steven Morris. This person asked me to contact them on their private email address. The text message had no number. The story was identical - "Steven" was working away, wanted the bike for his son - even offered to pay more than the asking price to hold the bike. Alarm bells started to ring - did a little digging. Seems like the person behind Sir Steven Morris is a serial con. Offered to pay my paypal fees, they claimed they would send money to the paypal account etc.. Beware of this person. I understand not everyone will get caught out but it is worth noting.

WHEN IN DOUBT ALWAYS FROWARD THE EMAIL WITH FULL HEADER TO PAYPAL SPOOF@PAYPAL.COM THEY RESPOND QUITE QUICKLY.
