Wanted to buy furniture from me. Got my Paypal address. Said she sent money. No money arrived. Can one use someone's paypal address to send money to others or him/herself? Thanks

Tom, Let me do a little more research. Will probably be needing a copy of the emails you got from PayPal to prove to me that the funds are out of your account. I do not see any pending deposits to my account from PayPal, in my end, as of yet. 7:30 p.m. Today.

I was selling furniture on Craigslist and got an email from John, claiming to be a guy who works out on the sea. And he was moving into his new house, and wanted me to help coordinate everything for him.
He said that he sent the money via PayPal. PayPal normally notifies me. YET...nothing. He told me to check my "spam" folders. And low and behold, a very NON-OFFICIAL LOOKING PAYPAL EMAIL was there.
Then my husband and brother sent me THIS link. Of course it was a scam, but...sad.

Say they want to by your furniture and say they have sent the money plus additional funds to give to moving company to deliver items. They don't actually send the money but try to get you to send money to the moving company - this is a scam. Thank God we figured it out before sending the money.

Was trying to buy furniture from me and asked for me to pay shipping and sent me fake paypal emails. Had me send money through Western Union
