| Anonymous Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India 2016-08-09 02:57:30 Business Venture Scam Other Job Site | scam in the name of Siyabonga Motlanthe Received a message from the one of the members of "opportunity" website, naming himself as Mr. Siyabonga Motlanthe, one of the cabinet minister in south Africa. He is a member in LinkedIn. IThe first e-mail was a type of enquiry if I need business loan. When I answered yes and explained the amount would be INR 50,00000 he immediately accepted. I got a doubt but decided to know what type of scam this would be. I am pasting his reply below for the reference. In the beginning he said he will send his son for a closed door meeting to India but later said he has changed his plan since his wife his sick. He wanted his son to be with his wife and that we can get into business agreement directly. He send an letter of Intent to be signed and sent to him through e-mail. At last he said that he cannot transfer the amount to my account in India and that I need to open an account in his country and demanded the amount accordingly.
Non-Resident Savings Account - Opening fee is USD 3,000
2) Non-Resident Current Account- Opening fee is USD 5,000
3) Non-Resident Fixed Deposit - Opening fee is USD 10,000
4) Non-Resident Corporation Account- Opening fee USD 15,000
I did not oblige and that is the end. I am mentioning this only to warn others in such kind of scam. |
