I am in the army and i work as a Carpentry and Masonry Specialist and i have been deployed from Sembach Air Base, Kaiserslautern, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany to Afghanistan since February. We are not allowed to make or receive calls but we have access to the internet and that is our only means of communication to the outside world. I wouldn\'t mind seeing a few more pictures and I am ok with your price. Right now the only way i can make payment for it is via paypal as i don\'t have access to my bank online and there\'s no way i can issue out a check or something right now but i have my bank account attached to my paypal account and this is why i prefer paypal for payment. I will need your paypal email address to make the payment and if you don\'t have an account, its quite easy to setup at www.paypal.com its also the same as paying you directly. I hope you consider this cause i don\'t want to miss this deal. Since i cant come to view or pickup, after i make payment i\'ll have someone come help me pick up and store till i get back. Thanks for understanding, hope to read from you soon.
Again i have this little question for you How many miles are on it?, has it ever been in an accident?, can I see the list of accessories and performance upgrades mentioned in the add?, am I the original owner?,
Jim.

I have my motorcycle for sale on Craigs List. I received an offer from a "Soldier" supposedly deployed to Afghanistan. Luckily, I am also a Soldier. I looked up the name on the Army White Pages. No such person in the Army. I toyed with the buyer and asked him specific information that only a person in the US Army would know. The person failed every question I asked. They were offering me full asking price for my motorcycle, and would have someone pick up the bike. They wanted me to accept payment via PayPal. Upon further research on the offer, I found that it is a TOTAL SCAM.
Here's a portion the body of the original offer e-mail:

DON'T FALL FOR THIS!!! I almost did!
Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell.
And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can.
So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we
hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
