| Lauren Riggs Adelaide, South Australia, Australia 2012-06-11 05:47:55 Classified Ads Scam Gumtree | +3 Response to Gumtree ad offering to pay via Paypal I posted an ad on Gumtree late last night & early this morning I started receiving SMSs from a range of people (including this person) requesting the price of the item (without stating which item they were interested in) ASAP via email.
Some of the SMSs also state that the person will make payment via Paypal.
Generally the person also stated that they are unable to view the item as they are overseas on business etc.
\"Just viewed your ad. It is still available? What\'s the final asking price? Kindly reply me direct to my email: clemjames48@yahoo.com.\" |

I also had a text message from mjac28 in reply to an add on ebay asking the final asking price and to email baljames33@yahoo.com. I then received and email back asking for bank details or paypal account that he would pay the money into and to email to clemjames48@yahoo.com. I found this very strange as they did not request to view the item and it was a lot of money.
