| AS Somewhere in United States 2012-07-07 13:52:28 Overpayment Scam Craigslist (craiglist.com) | +3 boone.paull@gmail.com scammer notice I did research on this guy before contacting him. Turns out he is known for scams. Some people have lost money to this guy thinking that paypal would be safe. I didn\'t go through with his offer because it seemed fishy so I looked up everything I could about paying through paypal for a boat. My money wasn\'t guaranteed, and so I looked up his e-mail address and found this site. Some of the sites say that this guy sends more money than requested saying it\'s for his shipper and would you be so kind as to pay the shipper when he gets there. Sometimes it even says you have to pay a fee to get the extra money or it\'ll be in escrow. Then they take your goods and you\'re out all the money and your item. His address may even come through as googlemail.com as well. Here\'s the message he sent me through craigslist.com.
Thanks for the fast response...I am ok with the asking price.due to
the nature of my job and location,i will not be able to come for
inspection because i work long hours everyday,i have gone through your
advertisement and i am satisfied with it.i will be paying you via the
fastest and secure way to pay online(PayPal).
I have a private courier agent that will come for the pick up after
the payment have been made. You can now send me your PayPal email so i
can pay in right away and also include your address in your reply. If
you don\'t have a paypal account, you can easily set up one.log on to
www.paypal.com and sign up. its very easy.
Send the paypal money request to boone.paull@gmail.com
Hope to hear from you soon..

I had someone else try to scam me like this today on another item and checked into it so the red flags went up this morning. I'm glad I did and found that person was using two email addresses so want to save everyone else the pain of being scammed if possible. I didn't know how to check into scams then. I know now to check the name and am reporting the one last spring now as I kept the email so I would know if they targeted me again. I reported today's email addresses with the same report pasted to both. I hope this helps and prevents you from being her next target.
I posted an enclosed trailer in March this year. The response was addressed:
Alyssia Taylor (livingtha@gmail.com) and read as follows:
Ok, how much is the vehicle going for and the condition,am buying it for my vacation, because i'll be coming home for very soon from our rig as am a petroleum engineer on a rig offshore,i won't be able to come for the inspection due to the nature of my work,I insisted on PayPal because i don't have access to my bank account online here as i don't have internet banking, but i can pay from my PayPal account, as i have my bank a/c attached to it, i will need you to give me your PayPal email address so i can make the payments asap and pls if you don't have PayPal account yet, it is very easy to set up, go to www.PayPal.com and get it set up , after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address you use for registration with PayPal so as to put the money through.I have a pick up agent that will come and pick this up after i have made the payments.
I responded with the information she asked for and got the following response:
Ok, you can get back to me with your paypal email address so that i can proceed with the payment.
Since I pay cash for everything and don't have a bank account anywhere I didn't know any better and asked my brother who deals on eBay to let me use his pay pal account to receive the money. He wanted to know if it was legitimate as he has never received money via PayPal only paid for items he purchased. I checked on PayPal and it said a person asking for your information was a scam. I didn't respond back to her but saved her flagged email for future reference. I didn't know until today about this site which I apologize for and hope that this "better late than never" notice will help someone else from being scammed by her.

I posted an ad for a motorcycle on Craigslist. I received the first email from this address: lafrance61@comcast.net (lafrance61@comcast.net)the actual email was as follows:
Hi
I found your item listed on craiglist and i am interested to make a purchase ot it right away but i can`t find the price on it,kindly get back to me with the price before i move to next seller.Hope to hear from soon.
After I rechecked my ad I sent information back to this individual. It seemed strange that he claimed there was no price since it was listed in the description you click on and in the description but thought maybe he missed it or was playing me to try to get it cheaper. My second email was from this address: Boone Paull (boone.paull@googlemail.com)the actual email was as follows:

Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell.
And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can.
So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we
