I found this in my gmail in-box this morning. I have not spoken to these people or met them in any way.
I guess the thing that confirmed (for me) that I was looking at a scam would be the international phone number given for contacting the attorney.
Also the story that this Rachel found my facebook page so compelling as felt moved, as a christian, to leave all this money to me.
The letter itself is full of signs that English is not the owners first language.
Requesting "I will appreciate your utmost confidentiality" is a red flag as well.
The list can go on and on really.
Watch out for this one. There are allot of ways to find out if anyone has left you money legitimately. Never give out any of your personal numbers or information online especially to an unknown party soliciting those details.
It's so sad that people from a part of the world that sees so much misery and hardship are seeking to steal money and information from people who are desperate and gullible enough to take this bait. Even more shameful to say it was a message from God or something like it. To use cancer and God to try and create trust! I had a parent who passed from cancer years ago, if these scammers had any idea how that felt they wouldn't do this to people.
