Overpayment Scam
Paypal (paypal.com) |  +6 Beware of Declan Brouder Scammer I was selling shoes on Donedeal.ie. Brouder emailed me saying he would buy them and would pay using Paypal. I sent Paypal a money request and subsequently received an email from them saying the money had been received and would be credited to my account once I had shipped the shoes and supplied a shipping no. I stupidly did this. I then got emails from Brouder saying he had overpaid and Paypal wouldn\'t release the money to me until i had refunded him using western union. I realised I\'d been scammed and informed Paypal and Donedeal. I really wish I had seen this website and hope that by posting this it will prevent others from being victims of bastards like him! |

Was selling a phone on Done Deal. Got a text request which showed up on my fone as REWARDS not an actual mob number, asking me to email brouder.declan1@yahoo.com which I did.
Got back the EXACT same e-mail as others, see text below.
Am okay with the price of the item.I will like the shipping to be handle by Post Office so i will add up the shipping cost,also I will be doing the payment Paypal money transfer. do send me your PayPal Email ID with Name or send me paypal money request.
To proceed with the payment for the item.
So i wait to read from you soon.

I was selling an engagement ring on Craigslist as well and received this email too!
So glad I looked this up before proceeding.

This guy sent me the webtext also from 82646 and then I told him I would sell the ipod through email so i got this email from "paypal" but it was a fake. I sent the email to the real paypal. So glad I figured out before I shipped it.

Thanks Guys, In the last hour i received a text asking me to email Declan about a watch i had for sale on Done Deal, He is based in Nigeria and the questions asked are same as stated on this site. Straight away i felt it might be a scam, so i googled his name and came across a few sites stating problems with this guy. Thanks for saving me the hassle, i wont be dealing with this guy..!

As above this guy contacted me (ad on donedeal.ie) and asked to pay through Paypal. Since he was going to pay asking price I got suspicious and (after googling his name) found this entry and and a similar one on another website. I won't be dealing with Mr. Brouder any further.

Was selling an engagement ring on gumtree. received a few emails for this guy asking about the ring.
the main things he should ask, he didnt. i asked questions and did not get answers.
he said he was happy with the price and will send payment through paypal so i gave him my email address.
it kept me thinking, just the way he was acting and talking in his emails. so i searched his email in google and sure enough there he is on a scammersbeware website.
so i email the link to the website to bouder declan and had no reply
