Other Classifieds Site |  +6 Warning - Kenny Scott is a CON ARTIST! This guy responded to my car advertisement on car sales.com impersonating that he was a Navy Vet and out to buy a car for his son on his graduation. It's exactly the same story as the ones recently reported on the Google search engines. I didn't learn of this scam until after I provided my bank account details. I decided to do a search and low and behold here was exactly the same scam stories that was reported by others who had the same experience with this con. I've reported him to the police and to my banks security so hopefully the officials will catch up with them

Due to the nature of my work i am a very busy man working all day, am a (NAVY Vet in which i deal Vet Software's) am presently on-board, i don't have access to my bank account online as am not with my credit card details here but i have my ANZ bank account link up with my PayPal account so I will be paying you through Account to your nominated bank account or better still is if you have a PayPal account ,please get back to me with your BSB and account details or PayPal account so i can proceed with the payment and contact the courier agent who will come to pick it up and deliver it in NT for my son .Await your reply

Received virtually same message as previous reporters, plus several follow-ups (about 7 threads to conversation). In regards to selling my car, which went live on Gumtree AU (& other sites) yesterday. He (she?) already got my mobile no., landline no., email address, & PayPay username (handle). Also asked for my bank account number and some cockamamie story about $1K for Western Union transfer for cross-country courier.
Scam EmailI sent the emails to Junk folder, then deleted them -sorry.

Replied to my ad on gumtree but email did not match name - and text received was from "kenny" not a number.

Text me asking to contact him via email, did not reply as was suspicious of the phone number and the fact a name came up instead of a number when he text.
